Actress Samantha was last seen in Tamil in the Vijay sethupathi starrer Super Deluxe and recently appeared in the Telugu movie Oh Baby which has become a superhit as well, collecting more than 40 crores and also crossing one million dollars mark in US box office.

Recently, the Singapenney song sung by AR Rahman for Vijay's Bigil was released, and the song has turned out to be a chartbuster and instant addiction for music lovers, and Samantha is no exception. Clearly impressed by the song, Samantha shared it and tweeted "#Singappenney Trust this team to always do it right.Thankyou @arrahman @Atlee_dir @actorvijay".

Following this, Atlee had responded to Samantha with his reply "Thank you da Thambi". Samantha was the female lead in Atlee's two blockbuster movies with Vijay, Theri and Mersal. Samantha is currently shooting for the Telugu remake of 96, reprising Trisha's role.
