Samantha reaching closer to Shruti Haasan

Samantha Akkineni, one of the most popular actresses south India has ever seen, has touched a figure of 7 million followers on Twitter. Among all the actresses down South, she has got the highest follower count on the micro-blogging site after Shruti Hassan (who stands at 7.19 million).

It's believed that Samantha achieved the figure the fastest. The versatile actress keeps her followers engaged by posting witty messages/pics and by taking questions from them once every few months.

The actress has had three hits already this year. 'Rangasthalam', 'Mahanati' and 'Irumbu Thirai' (Tamil)/'Abhimanyudu' (Telugu) are the ones. 'U-Turn' (Telugu and Tamil) and 'Seema Raja' (Tamil) are her big releases this month.
