Last month, actors Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar shared screen in the an off-beat romantic comedy titled 'Badhaai Do'. Both these actors are known for their content driven cinema and 'Badhaai Do' was also an example of the same. The film featured Rajkummar and Bhumi as homosexual characters who get married to each other in order to keep their sexualities secret.

The film was praised by audience as well as other celebs for presenting a serious issue in a light hearted manner. Recently, actress Samantha Prabhu also took to social media to praise the film. She shared a poster of the film on her Instagram story and wrote, "Absolutely loved Badhaai Do. An important story told brilliantly with outstanding performances. Love is love.”

During a promotional interview for the film, Rajkummar Rao had said, "Every time someone picks a subject like this, I am happy as it means we are opening up to experimenting. As actors also, this is such an exciting time as the art form is getting better. Also, when you make a film on a social subject and you add a little bit of entertainment, it automatically reaches more people."
