Samantha is making waves in all film industries having just received the Best Actress Award at the FilmFare Awards for her portrayal of a Sri Lankan Tamil girl in the 'The Family Man 2' web series directed by Raj and DK. She has also done her first ever item song in the upcoming pan Indian film 'Pushpa' directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil.
The item song for which Samantha has rendered a sizzling dance starts with the lines "Oo Solriya Oo Oo Solriya' and the lyric video that was released is already a huge hit. An organisation called Association for Men's Protection in Tamil Nadu has sought a ban on the song citing that it hurts the sentiments of men and degrades them.
The outfit has warned that if the ban is not enforced legal action will be taken on Samantha and the rest of those involved in 'Pushpa'. A few days back a similar organization in Andhra filed a case against the team in court and have made similar demands. Read :Case filed against Samantha's item song in 'Pushpa'
