Samantha misses out on the genuine biggie

The genuine blockbuster in recent times is the Jayam Ravi-Arvind Swamy-Nayanthara starrer Thani Oruvan' directed by Mohan Raja. Producers from the other industries across India have been clambering over one another for the remake rights.

The Telugu version of Thani Oruvan' to be directed by Surender Reddy has Ram Charan Teja in the lead role and the makers approached Samantha to reprise Nayanthara's role. Initially Sam had agreed to do the prestigious film but the busy shooting schedules of her films like Suriya's 24', Nithin's A…Aa…', Mahesh Babu's Brahmotsavam' and the soon to begin Vada Chennai' directed by Vetrimaaran with Dhanush as hero have forced Samantha to opt out of the project.
