Samantha after her well-recieved role of Vembu in Thiagarajan Kumaraja's 'Super Deluxe' has been concentrating on the Telugu remake of '96' and her Kannada movie 'Phantom' apart from the web series 'The Family Man 2'. The good news for her Tamil fans is that she is in advanced stage talks for a new movie to be directed by Ashwin Saravanan of 'Maaya' and 'Game Over' fame.

Ashwin has finished the script and is in the process of casting as well and this time too has chosen a women-centric subject. The official announcement is expected by the end of the year and the shooting is planned for early 2020. The horror/thriller specialist's 'Iravaa Kaalam' starring S.J. Suriya and Sshivada is caught up in a financial mess and is also expected to release sometime next year.
