Samantha and Naga Chaitanya made headlines for their separation after four long years of happy married life. The couple divorced by mutual consent due to undisclosed reasons and have been going strong in their professional life.
Nearly three months after the divorce, Naga Chaitanya has opened up for the first time to address the media about the same. During the promotion of his film Bangarraju, Naga Chaitanya spoke about his separation from Samantha and said, “It is ok to be separated. That is a mutual decision made for their individual happiness. If she is happy, then I am happy. So Divorce is the best decision in such a situation”.
The couple's love story was no less than a fairy tale and prevailed as one of the cutest and loved pairs in Tollywood. On October 2, the couple announced that they have parted ways as husband and wife and the news took social media by storm. "We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on," the social media message read.
On the professional front, Naga Chaitanya's Bangarraju, which also stars his father Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishnan and Kriti Shetty in lead roles, is slated to release in theatres on January 14, 2022. On the other hand, Samantha is busy shooting for her upcoming film Yashoda. She also landed on her first international project with 'Downtown Abbey' fame Philip John.
