The heartthrob of South India Samantha Ruth Prabhu's divorce came as a shock to her fans and the film industry. While many supported her during this tough time a few questioned her decision of parting ways with Naga Chaitanya.
Ever since the split the two were making headlines and the rumours revolving around the personal life of this favourite duo never ceased. Today she took to Instagram stories to send a strong message to trolls who are questioning her decision to part ways with her ex-husband.
In the post, she shared author Farida's quote which talks about how women are questioned and criticised for their decisions while men are not. The quote read, "If matters are constantly morally questionable when done by women, but not even morally questioned when done by men - then we, as a society, fundamentally have no morals."
According to reports, Samantha was offered Rs 200 crore as alimony by Naga Chaitanya and his family. But the actress has refused the same as she doesn't want to take a penny from him. Many of her fans praised her for this decision and called her "women with principles." On the work front, Samantha is waiting for the release of director Gunasekhar's Shaakuntalam and director Vignesh Shivan's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
