Samantha exhorts fellow heroines

"I think that heroines have to stick together, support each other and encourage each other. Stronger, united." These are Samantha Akkineni's words when asked about competition among actresses in the film industry. At a time when the heroine-oriented 'U Turn' is coming in a year marked by the two blockbuster "heroine films" 'Bhaagamathie' and 'Mahanati', the thinking actress just made the right noises.

'U Turn', the Telugu-Tamil bilingual, has been written and directed by Pawan Kumar. The thriller will hit the screens on September 13. Its post-production works are underway. Aadhi Pinisetty will be seen as a cop, while Rahul Ravindran and Bhumika Chawla have key roles in this prominent bilingual.

Meanwhile, Samantha will get busy with her untitled film opposite hubby Naga Chaitanya from mid-August. Directed by Shiva Nirvana of 'Ninnu Kori' fame, the rom-com will be huge for the lovers of the genre, given the combination.
