Samantha is one actress who is much in demand even after marriage with a interesting lineup of films like 'Super Deluxe' 'Rangasthalam', 'Nadigaiyar Thilgam'/'Mahanati', 'UTurn' Tamil/Telugu remake and Sivakarthikeyan-Ponram project.  Telugu media has extensively published reports that Sam is entering politics soon and would be contesting in the upcoming AP-Telangana general elections under a ticket from the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

Samantha's spokespersons have denied the news and have clearly asserted that there is no plan for politics anytime in the near future.  The rumours were obviously sparked off after Sam being appointed a brand ambassador of Telangana handlooms. The next  Tamil release of Samantha would be the Vishal-Arjun starrer 'Irumbu Thirai' on March 29th.
