Water scarcity has been one of the burning issues of our country, and while Chennai has been facing severe water crisis, due to depletion of ground water and lack of rains, with people being forced to travel distance to get water, and rely on the arrival of water from various other places, the problem exists in other cities as well.

Hyderabad too is facing water scarcity, and in an attempt to create awareness among public to save water and not waste it, besides also emphasizing on the enacting strict borewell rules by the government, Samantha has taken the one bucket challenge, according to which only one bucket of water will be used throughout the day, and she is participating in the challenge this Sunday.

Samantha tweeted "Who’s with me ? This Sunday.. One bucket challenge..
(with pictures) .. no long showers , no washing vehicles , no leaving the tap on while you wash your face ..... I will post a pic of my bright blue bucket as well(no cheating) #everydropcounts" and urged people to participate in the challenge and save water.
