After 'Oh! Baby' in 2019, Samantha Akkineni has slowed down a lot in accepting movies, especially after 'Jaanu'. She has shot for Gunasekhar's 'Shaakuntalam' and there are questions over whether the star actress will continue to accept movies like before. Recently, she told an entertainment portal that she would like to take a short break for a few months before resuming work.

There are now rumours that the 'Majili' star is going to be back in the reckoning in Telugu, Tamil as well as Hindi. Samantha is buoyed by the stunning response to her performance in 'The Family Man 2', the Hindi-language espionage thriller.

Now that she has no new signed projects in Telugu (at least officially), Sam is waiting to complete her only Tamil movie, which stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara as the other lead actors. The rom-com, to be released in both Tamil and Telugu, is directed by Vignesh Shivan.

Recently, Sam suggested that she would be focussing only on characters and films that are unique in their own respects.
