Samantha Akkineni has made the "big announcement" she has been talking about. The 'Majili' actress has launched a clothing line of her own. Titled Saaki, it has admittedly been her dream. "Fashion exploration by Samantha Akkineni for the collective modern woman," the clothing line declares, asking lovers of fashion to "trust the magic of new beginnings".

Making the announcement, the star actress said, "Saaki is finally here! Saaki has been a dream of mine and my baby for many months. It is a reflection of my love for fashion and my journey in life. #saakiforyou #launchingsoon Hope you like it (sic)."

The 'Oh Baby' actress said that she has always been a fan of fashion. "Before I even started my acting career, I was enamoured by fashionable people and styles in magazines. I remember when I was in college, there was no way that I could afford a designer outfit. Since I started acting, I’ve had the honour of wearing clothes designed by talented designers," she said.

"Many years later, I would wear an outfit with my signature on it. This has been an emotional journey. Saaki is my way of building our friendship, sharing my life, and creating moments with you that will be special and just ours," a jubilant Sam added.

Besides this, she has also taken up the initiative of popularizing terrace gardening.
