Fans of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan are mighty excited at reports emanating from Bollywood which say that Dabangg 3 might be happening soon!

Salman played a cop in the film which launched Bollywood actor-turned-politician Shatrughan (‘Shotgun’) Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha in Bollywood in 2010.  It was super-hit film which was later remade in Telugu as Gabbar Singh starring Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan in the lead and as Osthe in Tamil starring Simbu and the sexy Richa Gangopadhyay in the lead.

Dabangg 2, which released in 2012, was another super-duper hit film starring Salman and Sonakshi again in the lead. Fans had been waiting patiently for the third film in the Dabangg franchise to be made but have now god some good news to cheer as Sonakshi Sinha has revealed that Dabangg 3 is very much ‘happening’ and is likely to go to floors from early next year. “Of course, I play the heroine in it,” she added.

“It was Dabangg which made me what I am today (a frontline actress); I’d always be available for the film’s shoot as and when the third franchise is made,” she informs.

Arbaaz Khan, actor and Salman’s younger brother who directs and produces the film, conceded that the film’s scripting process had already started. He also hinted that adult-star-turned-Bollywood actress Sunny Leone might play an ‘item number’ in the film.
