The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) recently busted a rave party onboard a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai. A team of NCB officials seized several illegal drugs, including cocaine, hashish, and MDMA during the raid on Cordelia Cruises' Empress ship. Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was among those who were arrested by the NCB in connection with the case.
During the late hours on Sunday, Salman Khan was snapped visiting Shah Rukh Khan's Mumbai house, Mannat. Acting on a tip-off, NCB officials led by zonal director Sameer Wankhede reportedly boarded the ship disguised as passengers on Saturday and detained a group of people who were openly found consuming the narcotic substances. As per reports, the raids, which began at 10 am went on till 2 pm. Apart from Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Seth Merchantt and Munmun Dhamecha were also placed under arrest and the three accused involved in the case have been remanded to NCB custody till October 4.
Claiming that Aryan was arrested solely based on his WhatsApp conversations, his lawyer Satish Maneshinde demanded bail. "Aryan had no ticket, no cabin or seat on board the cruise. He was there because he had been invited. He didn't even have a boarding pass. Nothing has been found on him. He was arrested on the basis of chat only," the lawyer was quoted as saying by a news agency.
