These days, filmmaker Rohit Shetty is enjoying the success of his recently released cop drama 'Sooryavanshi'. This Akshay Kumar starrer was released after a delay of a year and a half but the reviews suggest that it was worth the wait. The success of 'Sooryavanshi' also signifies that Rohit Shetty's vision of an integrated cinematic universe of cop movies is flourishing. The latest buzz suggests that Salman Khan's popular 'Dabangg' franchise might also become a part of this universe.
Recently, Rohit Shetty hinted the possibility of Salman's Chulbul Pandey joining the universe but he didn't confirm or deny anything when asked directly. About his possible collaboration with Salman Khan, Rohit told Pinkvilla, "It’s like we have spoken about it, we haven’t started writing it. It’s too early to talk about anything. Now, I am speaking to him, in a week’s time, we’ll film Cirkus’ last schedule. There’s still time for everything to happen. When it’ll happen, it’ll happen. But at present, we are going back to filming Cirkus.”
Ajay Devgan's 'Singham' films and Ranveer Singh's 'Simmba' are already part of Rohit's cop universe and 'Sooryavanshi' was the latest addition to it. He has also confirmed 'Singham 3' as the next installment in the universe.
