Romanian actress-model Iulia Vantur, recognized for her close association with Salman Khan and her role in his documentary series, has taken on the pivotal position of the narrator. The choice was rooted in the belief of the creators that her comprehensive understanding of Salman, both in the professional and personal spheres, makes her the perfect voice to convey his journey in the industry and life.
According to the reports, the post-production phase of the project is complete, with the much-anticipated release planned to coincide with Salman's 58th birthday on December 27th this year. The makers have apparently completed the post-production work for Beyond The Star and are considering a release on Salman’s birthday through a domestic OTT platform. The documentary promises to evoke emotions about Salman's life, showcasing the highs, lows, and shedding light on the vibrant personality beneath his tough exterior, as per the sources.
Confirming Iulia's involvement, a close source stated, “The documentary is Iulia’s brainchild, and she is the creative producer. She has conducted all the interviews for the episodes and it's worth the wait.” Iulia previously lent her voice to songs in Salman's movies, but her anticipated acting debut in Radha Kyun Gori Main Kyun Kaala got shelved. Another film directed by Prem R Soni, titled Laila Majnu, was announced in 2020 for Iulia's debut, but there's been no update on its progress.
The documentary, Beyond The Star, will feature insights from Salman's family, friends, and colleagues he has collaborated with throughout his career, like Bhagyashree, Disha Patani, and others. It will also incorporate unreleased images and videos showcasing Salman's life from childhood. The series will be co-produced by Salman, Wiz Films, and Applause Entertainment.
