Earlier, there were speculations that the star Salman Khan is likely to be the star of the Bollywood remake of Thalapathy Vijay's latest blockbuster 'Master'. Now, the latest reports suggest that the star has rejected the offer. As Master collected huge amid being released during the pandemic time, the film was decided to be remade in Hindi.
'Master' is an action multi-starrer featuring Thalapathy Vijay, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan and Arjun Das in the lead roles. Lokesh Kanagaraj, who gave back-to-back successful films 'Maanagaram' and 'Kaithi', is the one who directed Master. It had music by Anirudh and was produced by Xavier Britto but all the rights were acquired and the film was released by Lalit Kumar.
The Bollywood remake rights of Master was bought by a big production company for a record price. According to the sources, Salman Khan was approached to reprise the role of 'Proffessor JD' which was played by Thalapathy Vijay in the Tamil version. But Salman made it clear that he will accept the offer only if the script was edited to suit the Hindi audience. Now, the latest buzz is that Khan rejected the offer as he wasn't convinced with the revised version of the script.
Also, some inside sources say that he rejected the offer of Master remake because he has already signed to star in three Bollywood films. After his rejection, it is very doubtful that the Master Hindi remake will proceed any further. Salman Khan has also rejected the cameo role offer in 'Lucifer' Telugu remake starring Chiranjeevi. He had rejected the 'Chiru 153' offer as he is too busy to do a cameo role.
