The setting of Salman Khan's 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' is grand as the film has been shot primarily in Havelis and Rajmahals. Though the ornate sets could have been recreated in a studio, director Sooraj Barjatya and Salman both agreed on shooting in real locations. A haveli in Gondal, near Rajkot (Gujarat), was chosen to film a sizeable portion of the family drama.

While the production team was put up in a hotel, Salman preferred staying in the heritage property. The star recreated his room to his taste by painting the walls. The striking artworks brightened the interiors and were admired by everyone when the actor hosted get-togethers after the shoot.

Once the schedule was wrapped up, the owners decided to retain Salman's frescos in his room. The haveli has now been converted into a boutique hotel and its new-found star status is making it an attraction.

Salman Khan returns to the silver screen with PRDP after his blockbuster, 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'. The movie is supported by a huge ensemble cast and is slated to release on 12th November 2015.
