Bollywood star Salman Khan receives chilling letter containing death threat; CBI reaches his house

Days after the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, Bollywood actor Salman Khan received a letter at his residence threatening him with dire consequences, following which an FIR was registered by the Mumbai police.

The letter Salman received was a reference to Moose Wala’s unfortunate death. “Salim Khan, Salman Khan bahot jald aapka Moose wala hoga (Salim Khan, Salman Khan very soon you will meet the fate of Moose Wala),” the letter read. Soon after, Mumbai police reached Galaxy Apartments, Salman’s house in Bandra, and increased the security around the building.

A police commissioner was quoted as saying, “As the matter is serious, so we have also taken this issue seriously. Our officials are actively investigating the case. No one has been detained till now. It’s too early to say if the letter is fake, and also we can't say anything about the (involvement of) Lawrence Bishnoi gang. But whatever content is there in the letter, we are taking it seriously and conducting probe.”

The primary suspect in the Moose Wala murder case, Lawrence Bishnoi, has denied issuing the threat to Salman and has claimed that he has no rivalry with the actor. “Our interrogation is on and we hope to get some more concrete information in this threat letter case,” a Mumbai police officer added.
