Superstar Salman has been the star of several Hindi remakes of popular south movies. Even now he was in talks to star in remakes of two recent South Indian movies. One of them is Vijay's superhit flick 'Master'. It was such a success, it was evident that sonner or later Bollywood would show interest in the remakes but looks like things have changed a bit. Reports suggest that Salman has asked the writers to rework the story and give it a completely new touch.
A source close to the development shared, "Salman doesn't want to do outright South remakes any more. He is clear on this point. For Master, he has loved the character of JD, and believes that it has solid potential to strike chord with the audiences all across. He hasn't played the role of a drunkard master till date and hence, is very excited to take it up. However, it's on condition that the makers come up with a new story, by just retaining the character's personality."
Looks like Salman is shying away from the blatant copy of the film since Bollywood has often been criticised for the same. It seems like a step in the right direction for Salman and mainstream Bollywood.
