Salman Khan depends on Pawan Kalyan's film to bounce back

At a time when Bollywood has become synonymous with remakes, Salman Khan is remaking yet another South Indian movie. His upcoming release ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan’ is reportedly a remake of ‘Katamarayudu’, which itself was a remake of the Tamil movie 'Veeram'.

More than 'Veeram', the Bollywood remake is going to correspond to the Pawan Kalyan-starrer in terms of its content and comedy style. The Hindi title stands for 'Someone's brother, someone's loved one', and the action-comedy is directed by Farhad Samji.

It is interesting that 'Katamarayudu' has been chosen as remake source material rather than 'Veeram', although the Bollywood media is likely to talk about the latter more in the contest of the Hindi film.

Our own Venkatesh is playing a key role in it. Pooja Hegde will be seen as Salman's heroine and Venky's sister. Jagapathi Babu has a key role.

To be released on December 30 this year, the film might well help Salman stage a strong comeback. One of the songs is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, while Ravi Basrur is composing background score.
