B-town gold mine Salman Khan has stepped in the Asian superstar Rajinikanth footsteps .. his mega blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger produced by Yash Raj Films released in Japan yesterday amidst much fanfare at a grand premiere in Tokyo.

After Rajinikanth its Salman Khan who has caught the frenzy of the Asian audience and has found his film getting released in Japan..

The screening saw director Kabir Khan in attendance along with eminent personalities such as the Vice Commissioner for International Affairs, Japan National Tourism Organization - Mr. Kato Takashi, Indian Ambassador to Japan - Ms. Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa and renowned Japanese actress - Sugimoto Aya.

The movie renamed in Japan as ‘Tiger-The Legendary Spy’ won applause from the 300 strong Japanese and Indian viewers who were present at the event and it was clear that Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif and the tunes of the popular song Mashallah had won the audiences’ heart!

"I am really happy that my film Ek Tha Tiger which released in about 40 countries around the world very successfully is now coming to Japan and it’s the first mainstream release for a Hindi Film that is happening in Japan. I am really excited to be here," Kabir Khan said.

Ek Tha Tiger premiered in Japan with the collaboration of Yash Raj Films and Nikkatsu Cooperation and it will be released in 30 screens across the country.

Needles to add the Asian superstar Rajiniknath is a huge draw in Japan with tremendous fan following let see how far Salman Khan makes his base..
