After its (extended) first week run, 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' has turned out to be the fourth best ever in the history of Bollywood. With around 8.5 crore* more coming in, the film has now crossed the 174 crore* mark. This makes it sit amongst the biggest, what with Dhoom 3 [188 crore], Bajrangi Bhaijaan [184.62 crore] and PK [183 crore] being the only films that did better.

Yes, this is an outcome of 8 day long week but even if one considers the first 7 days, collections are higher than next best flicks like Kick [164.21 crore], Chennai Express [156.71 crore] and Happy New Year [152 crore].

The film did go down on Monday when compared to its terrific Friday [40.35 crore]. However ever since then, the collections have been stable between Monday to Thursday. The Salman Khan starrer gains from the fact that there is no new mainstream Hindi release this weekend. Moreover, the reports of Spectre aren't terrific either, which means another huge run like Furious 7, Avengers - Age of Ultrons and Jurassic World is ruled out. This makes it a further comfortable situation for Rajshri and Fox who would be looking at a much stable run till the arrival of Tamasha next Friday.

Sooraj Barjatya is now set to join the 200 crore club after Rajkumar Hirani [3 Idiots, PK], Rohit Shetty [Chennai Express], Vijay Krishna Acharya [Dhoom 3], Sajid Nadiadwala [Kick], Farah Khan [Happy New Year] and Kabir Khan [Bajrangi Bhaijaan].

* Final numbers awaited

Note: All collections as per production and distribution sources
