Ponniyin Selvan directed by Mani Rathnam is made on a huge scale of 500 crores. Now the update about the salary of the cast is doing the rounds on the internet. 

Vikram who played the role of Aditha Karikalan  in Ponniyin Selvan has received a salary of Rs. 12 crores for acting in the film. Vikram is said to have been paid the highest salary among the actors and actresses who worked in the film.

On the other hand Aishwarya Rai got a remuneration of about 10 crores for playing Nandhini. Jayam Ravi was paid Rs 8 crore to play the role of Arunmozhivarman in the film. Actor Karthi who is cast as Vandhiya Thevan was paid Rs 5 crore for acting in the film. Trisha has charged two crores. Followed by her Prakash Raj and Aishwarya Lekshmi was paid 1.5 crores respectively.
