Hombale Films has said that three-fourths of 'Salaar' is yet to be shot. The film, starring Prabhas and Shruthi Haasan, will hit the screens in April or May 2023. If it gets delayed further, it will be released in June that year.

It has been indirectly conveyed that 'Salaar' is a two-part movie. Producer Vijay K, speaking about the news of 'Salaar' being a two-part saga, has said, "That’s something we can’t tell right now. We will wait for the right time."

Just the first part is going to take more than a year from now. With Prabhas being busy with multiple projects, 'Salaar 2' may not be happening anytime soon, though.

Director Prashanth Neel is currently waiting for the second edition of 'KGF'. 'KGF 2' releases on April 14 this year, a day after Vijay's 'Beast'.

Meanwhile, Prabhas was recently in the news over undergoing a minor surgery for an injury he had suffered on the sets of 'Salaar' last year. He is currently recuperating.
