'Salaar' is done with its maiden schedule; Deets inside

Salaar's first schedule, which was shot at Godavarikhani in Telangana, has come to an end. Prabhas took part in the schedule with a number of junior artists in tow. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the schedule saw the filming of action moments and a chase.

As reported already, the unit worked in the shadow of a potential threat from Maoists. The police department provided adequate security in view of the situation. A coal mine that has not been abuzz with activity was assigned for the shoot.

Shruti Haasan is the female lead of this multi-lingual, which is produced by Hombale Films of 'KGF' fame. Mohan Guruswamy, a Sandalwood actor, has been roped in to play a negative role. Contrary to certain rumours, 'Salaar' is said to be an original story and not a rip-off of Neel's 'Ugramm' (Kannada).

Prabhas is committed to completing his portions for Om Raut's 'Adipurush' as well. A fire accident recently broke out on the sets of the film in Mumbai. Nobody was injured.
