Karthi is seen in those chaste white costumes of a politician in Sakuni's posters. Moreover, the film has been touted as a political satire from the beginning. However, politics is just a part of the film. In Karthi's own words, "How I kick start a public problem and find a solution to my personal issue is what Saguni is all about." Karthi is full of hope and optimism while talking about his forthcoming movie.

Produced by Bellamkonda Suresh, the film directed by debutant Shankar Dayal is getting ready to hit the screens soon. "It is not a full-fledged political story. But politics is there to an extent," says Karthi.

Popular comedian Santhanam has an important role in the movie. "In this film, Santhanam calls me Rajini and I call him Kamal. Scenes involving us will bring the roofs down", Karthi adds.

Giving more details, he says, "My character is based on Lord Krishna in Mahabharatha while Santhanam's is that of Lord Naradha. How we win over complex situations using our brains is the story of Saguni."
