Nivin Pauly's most awaited movie Sakhavu helmed by Sidhartha Siva is gearing up to hit the big screens this Vishu season on April 15. At the audio launch of the film in Alappuzha, the actor revealed why the movie and his character is close to his heart. Nivin Pauly said that he had always wanted to play a communist ever since he made his acting debut. He shared his excitement on achieving his dream and expressed his hope that the audience would enjoy the film when it releases.
In the movie, Nivin Pauly essays the central character Krishna Kumar, a communist whose life changes after a medical college visit. Apart from the previously said role Krishnakumar, Nivin will also be seen as comrade Krishnan, the character which is set the 70s-80s period.
Sakhavu features Aishwarya Rajesh in the female lead. Scripted by director Sidhartha himself, the movie also features actor-writer Sreenivasan in a key role along with Aparna Gopinath, Gayathri Suresh, Maniyanpilla Raju, Joju George and many others in the supporting roles. Produced by B Rakesh, under the banner Universal Cinema, Sakhavu has music by Prashant Pillai.
As Nivin Pauly did not have a release for almost a year now after the 2016 release Jacobinte Swargarajyam, fans have been waiting with bated breath for the star's new movie. Coming from a youth icon who is riding high with a string of blockbusters, expectations from Sakhavu are sky high!.
