Director Vijay has just completed his Saivam and trying to release it as a summer treat. The film that stars veteran actor Nasser, Baby Sarah in pivotal roles revolves around family relations and stresses the importance of cultural roots. The film’s cast include equal number of experienced and new actors.

Nasser’s son Luqman Basha is debuting as an actor with the film. Another young talent debuting with this film will be Vidya who is a junior scientist in real life, currently pursuing her Ph.d in stem cell biology.

Vijay, who always sticks to perfection has stated that he is highly impressed with the newcomer’s performance and Vidya has proved her adeptness in handling emotional scenes which is a rare phenomenon with debut artiste’s.

Vidya while speaking about the film said that she is happy that she has worked in a wonderful projet like Saivam. Answering the question about her future plans, Vidya said her first priority is to complete her research on treatment of corneal blindness. She also added she will continue acting provided she gets good offers like Saivam.
