Actor Mumtaz has now responded to Zeenat Aman's promotion of live-in relationships before marriage by criticizing her own unhappy marriage as evidence of her skepticism. Mumtaz asserted that Zeenat's personal experiences lend little authenticity to the advice or relationship advice she provides. In the midst of their escalating feud, we sought perspective from actor Saira Banu, a veteran colleague of theirs.

Banu came out with all traditional views, and she had her say to highlight that she is certainly not in favor of modern relationships, the way they are being pictured. She stressed that she is adhering to conventional values and pooh-poohed the idea of live-ins.

When asked, Zeenat Aman was polite and neutral in her comments. She was of the view that everyone has their own opinion. She avoided getting personal and having a public spat.

In response, Mumtaz cautioned Zeenat not to tell her how, reminding her that this very media should not be the cause of her problems. She reminded her of the irony she held in waiting for someone to tell her about her own life.
