Seasoned actress Saira Banu was admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai after a sudden case of breathlessness. Her blood pressure was also found to be high and she is being treated in the ICU. Saira was kept on oxygen as a team of doctors is doing tests on her. A source close to the family revealed, "The doctors are slated to give an update soon. Her condition is fragile. She might easily need over a week at the hospital to recover. Unko bohot takleef hai."

Time isn't going that well for Saira. The demise of her husband Dilip Kumar in July has taken emotional and physical toll on her. She was a constant companion in Dilip Sahab's life so his passing was obviously a huge blow for her.

The source shared, "This can’t be the sole reason but the passing away of Dilip sahab in July, and the responsibility of managing everything on her own in that state seems to have taken a toll on her health. She looked after him all her life, like his mother. His loss is bound to affect her. However, barring the usual age related issues, she was okay till Saturday. Saturday onwards her condition deteriorated after which she was admitted to the hospital. Let’s hope she gets better soon.”
