Keeping the 100th film with Dr Shivarajakumar and Radhika Kumaraswamy on hold, director Om Saiprakash has started his 101st film starring Ramkumar in the title role of ‘Kranthiyogi Mahadevaru’. It is based on the life story of Inchageri Math of Indi taluk of Bijapur district.

It is both patriotic and devotional. It is the story of Madhavananda Shegunasi that made me to take up this film for direction. This film with Ramkumar in the lead is sure to get awards and box office results say Saiprakash.

Son in law of Dr Rajakumar actor Ramkumar thanked Saiprakash for giving an opportunity to play the lead role in Kranthiyogi Mahadevaru. I acted in Abbe Tumakuru Siddhipurusha Vishwaradhyaru. It is ready for the release. I think the director is happy with my performance in that film.  So, I got this opportunity. I will try my best to meet the director’s expectations,’’ says Ramkumar.

Ramkumar, Ramesh Bhat, Shivakumar, Suchitra, Sihi Kahi Chandru, Ravi Chethan, Ganesh Rao, Dingri Nagaraj, Sithara are the star cast. J.G. Krishna is the cinematographer while B Balaram is the music director. Srishaila Ganigera (Rabakavi) and Yallappa Mahishavadagi are producing this film on Sri Girimalleshwara Films banner.

Krantiyogi Mahadevau is a pre independence cinema that spread from 1910 to 1980 with variety of emotions and actions. The Sarvodaya period, meeting of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, integration issues, Giri Malleshawara devotion, inter caste marriage of 25000 in his period, took part in the freedom movement, fought against British Empire in India.

In one schedule at Bengaluru, Gokak, Bannatti, Itagi, Hippargi, Hubballi shooting is taking place, senior actor Shivakumar is in father role to Ramkumar. Ganesh Rao as British official, Ramesh Bhat, Suchitra, Sihikahi Chandru, Dingri Nagaraj, Sithara and others are in the cast.

Inchageri Math Revanna Siddeshwara Maharaj sounded clap board for the muhurut shot, Hipparagi Math Prabhooji Maharaj switched on camera. For the muhurut Karnataka minister Umasri, retired police official Shanker Bidari, Seethagiriya Dr AC Valimaharaj, President of Math Shivalingappamohi, Dharmadhikari Pharisappakappalaguddi attended.
