The great protector of Vachana Sahitya by waging war against Bijjala army Veera Madivala Machideva is also saint of the 12th century. He brought the Vachanas of Vishwa Guru Sri Basavanna to the safety and evolved his philosophy in life. With such a valiant personality in the pages of history the new Kannada cinema by Nandi Kameshwara Reddy takes a look in to it for silver screen as director. T Siddeshwar is the producer of the film.

Without much publicity this devotion filled cinema that dates back to 12th century has completed 80 percent of shooting. Saikumar, dialogue king of south Indian cinema plays the title role.

Director Reddy is including 13 vachanas and completed shooting for maximum portion in Bengaluru surroundings. The film went on the floors in February this year. It has completion of shooting of four songs. Gajendra is dialogue writer. Raam is man behind camera.

Charulatha, Ramesh Bhat, Vijayakashi, BC Patil, Srinivasa Prabhu, Satyajith, Satyaprakash, Umesh and others are in the cast.

Hamsalekha has tuned music and Thriller Manju is stunt director of this film.
