They sizzled with their chemistry in Dharma Productions’ ‘Kurbaan’. Now they will kick some action in ‘Agent Vinod’, second production of Saif Ali Khan’s banner Illuminati Films.

Being a spy thriller, ‘Agent Vinod’ features Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor as undercover agents and said to give lot of space for action and stunts. In association with Eros International, the film will be directed by Sriram Raghavan who earlier gave ‘Johnny Gaddar’ and ‘Ek Hasina Thi’. The director said that ‘Agent Vinod’ will start its shoot in the next two months.

Now according to gossip mongers the distributors are trying to play it safe by cutting the film’s budget. Incidentally the three films that Saif and Kareena gave together before failed to impress the box office collections. And with these two in ‘Agent Vinod’, speculations are that the financers don’t want to take a chance by investing high in the film. While, some sources say that this is not the case. "It is a wise business decision which can be termed as a precautionary measure. It has got nothing to do with Saif and Kareena per se. For all you know, Agent Vinod may be a hit and a cut in its cost will benefit Eros and Illuminati all the more," said the source.

Similarly, the director too maintained that he is not aware of the budget decision but said that he wouldn’t downsize his script. “There are a lot of foreign locales and action in the film. So, it's definitely a high budget film. However, I cannot reveal its budget, producer Dinesh Vijan is the right person to comment on it,” stated Sriram Raghavan.
