Some time ago news had been out that 'Lootera' famed helmer Vikramaditya Motwane has signed Saif Ali Khan for his next project. However, things have changed now and the film has landed on Shahid Kapoor's lap...

Talks go that the filmmaker was kept waiting by Saif for long and the actor even had asked him to make alterations in the script. Eventually, after much waiting, the director decided to move on and replace Saif with Shahid instead.

It is said that Motwane did few changes in the script before narrating it to Shahid. Having been impressed with what he heard, Shahid without any fuss gave his consent to do the movie.

Incidentally both Saif and Shahid will be sharing the screen with Vishal Bhardwaj's next, titled 'Rangoon'.
