Saif Ali Khan turned 51 on Monday and on the ocassion, let's take a look at how his career took a wild turn. Saif doesn't shy away from experimenting with his roles. In recent times he has given stellar performances in dark and gritty shows and movies like 'Sacred Games', 'Tandav' and 'Laal Kaptan' to name a few. Saif's filmography wasn't so diverse in the beginning.
He was known for his amature loverboy image during the initial phase of his career. Looking for diversity, Saif tried to reinvent his image with the film 'Agent Vinod'. The film tanked but it still worked in Saif's favour.
Talking about it, he said, "I think I had sensed that I need to do something new which is when I was trying to put Agent Vinod together, which didn't work out but it is a well produced film. If it had worked, it was a good attempt for a guy who does romantic comedies to do something a little more age-appropriate. In your early 40s, you can be a R&AW agent or whatever. I don't know how many times manipulating one's fate actually worked."
