Despite being a competent actor and delivering iconic performances, Saif Ali Khan has been a target of trolls on multiple occasions. Being a Muslim, he was bashed for marrying Kareena Kapoor who belongs to a Hindu family. Post that, he faced criticism for naming his firstborn son, Taimur. Things don't end here for Saif. He has been part of controversies regarding his projects like 'Tandav' and 'Adipurush' as well.
Recently, during a promotional event for his film 'Bhoot Police', Said talked about his faith and how it can be problematic at times. He said, “I am agnostic in real life. I am very secular in the sense that I think too much religion worries me because they put an emphasis on the afterlife. And not enough emphasis on this life...I find too much of religion to be an organisation and too many problems — associated with basically my god, or your god or whose god is better."
Sharing his opinion on afterlife, Saif said, “…I am not about the afterlife… I have a very sad feeling that once you die, it’s just lights out. That’s the end, nothing more. I sometimes hope there is more. And I’m not hundred per cent sure that there isn’t one.”
