The well-known Bollywood thriller series "Race" suffered when "Race 3", featuring Salman Khan, was turned off by the viewers. Now, rumors indicate that the creators intend a new remake to return the show to its origins, maybe including Saif Ali Khan in repeating his part. Originally massive hits, Saif had been the face of the first "Race" movies.
Producer Ramesh Taurani has been in talks with Saif regarding returning for "Race 4", tentatively named "Race Reboot". Pinkvilla reports. According to sources, Saif has accepted the concept; the movie is expected to begin filming early 2025.

According to a source, the first quarter of 2025 will see the start of filming. The crew is working on the script; the storyline is apparently ready. An official announcement is expected shortly even if casting is still under progress.
The producers are also looking at fresh directorial expertise to lead the initiative. Abbas-Mustan directed the first two "Race" movies; Remo D'Souza handled "Race 3".
Key in the first two movies, Saif was absent from "Race 3", which starred Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Salman Khan. The last "Race" movie hit the screens in 2018.
