Pallakonda Raju (30), who is the accused in the Saidabad rape and murder of a 6-year-old girl, is no more. He was found dead at Station Ghanapur in Telangana. Hyderabad East Zone DCP has confirmed the news.

While large sections of the media are saying that Raju died by suicide, the police are suspecting that he did so to evade arrest by the police. At the time of his death, Raju was being chased by the Railway police. He is believed to have jumped onto the railway tracks to evade arrest and died accidentally. 

When a Telugu TV channel broke the news on Thursday morning, it came as a shock to one and all. Some media houses are of the opinion that Raju was too scared to be caught by the police, especially after the encounter of the rape accused in the Disha case in late 2019. Earlier this week, a politician told the media that Raju will not only be arrested soon but also killed in an encounter. 

So many theories will continue to be made about Raju's death, with some Netizens raising some (un)likely suspicions. Watch this space!
