A remake of super hit Telugu film ‘Lakshmi’ starring Victory Venkatesh and a number of actors from Telugu cinema is now ‘Gowri’ in Kannada starring Upendra and some popular faces of Kannada cinema industry.

Victory Venkatesh was ‘Lakshmi Narayan’ in the Telugu film ‘Lakshmi’ but in ‘Gowri’ Upendra is ‘Gowrishanker’ in the film. This film is going on floor after ‘Kaligaala’. Om Saiprakash has already consulted Parul Yadav and Aindrita Ray. Advance has been given to Upendra for this remake film says Sai Prakash.

‘Lakshmi’ Telugu film released in January 2006 starred Venkatesh, Nayanthara, Charmme Kaur and others in the direction of VV Vinayak. It was dubbed in to Malayalam and Hindi languages too.

It will be a sure shot film in the box office. The screenplay and contents are good in Telugu films. Apparently Upendra played the lead role with Ramya in ‘Gowramma’ a super hit film. ‘Gowri’ of Sai and Uppi will be the 99th film in the list of renowned director Saiprakash.

Parul Yadav and Aindrita Ray with Upendra is for the first time. This ‘Gowri’ in the direction of Om Saiprakash is after ‘Brahma’ of Upendra.
