Ahead of the theatrical release of 'Virupaksha' on April 21, Sai Dharam Tej attended the film's pre-release event in Eluru. Held at a college, it witnessed the Supreme Hero speak his heart out.

Sai Tej said that Sukumar attended the pre-release event of his 2019 release 'Chitralahari'. Cut to 2023, the 'Pushpa' director is the screenplay writer as well as a producer of 'Virupaksha', the pan-India horror thriller.

The Mega hero recalled the ordeal he went through after he met with a road accident in 2021, an accident that altered his life. Sai Tej turned mildly philosophical when he said that suffering can be life-altering. The 'Prati Roju Pandage' actor spoke of how much his mother and younger brother Vaisshnav Tej mean to him. "I have done 'Virupaksha' for them," he added.

Sai Tej touched upon the challenges in his career, especially the inordinate delay in the release of his first movie. He added that six consecutive flops never deterred him. He made up his mind to reinvent himself and his recent films like 'Republic' and the upcoming 'Virupaksha' are part of his sincere endeavour.

A guest named Maganti Babu recalled that the 100-day celebration of Chiru's 'Gang Leader' was held at the same venue.

Cinematographer Shamdat Sainuddin said that 'Virupaksha' marks his third collaboration with the movies of Mega family heroes.

Ambika Krishna described Sukumar as the backbone of the film, while Samukta of 'Bheemla Nayak' and 'SIR' fame was described as the new golden leg in the town. She is the film's heroine.

'Fidaa' fame Sai Chand, who plays a pious role in the movie, wished that Sai Tej reaches greater heights in his career.

'Kantara' fame composer B Ajaneesh Lokanth is hopeful that his two melodies and the only mass number in the movie will be enjoyed by the audience.

Samyukta, who landed 'Virupaksha' before she was known to the Telugu audience, thanked the team and those who helped her hone her acting skills.
