Cinema has been catering to the stereotypes for a long time. However, Malayalam cinema has often run contrary to this rule, celebrating naturalness. In the recently released movie 'Premam', the stereotypical idea od 'beauty' has also been reinvented.

The lead heroines of 'Premam' are all unconventional beauties. While Anupama's curly locks are the current in factor, we have Sai Pallavi's pimples being thought of as a thing of beauty. This is quite refreshing considering the flawless and fresh looks that are usually considered beautiful. Sai revealed that director Alphonse found the pimples beautiful.
