Sai Pallavi ever since her debut as Malar teacher in 'Premam' directed by Alphonse Putheran has been featuring in several box office record-breaking films in Telugu. Her amazing dance moves for the "Rowdy Baby" song with Dhanush in 'Maari 2' nearing the 200 million views mark on YouTube.
The hot buzz in Tollywood is that Sai Pallavi is in talks to play the role of the much-loved actress Soundarya who ruled the roost in the nineties. It is said that the filmmakers are keen to get the sensational actress on board as they feel she is the only one who do justice to the role as well as has a close resemblance to Soundarya.
Soundarya who made her debut opposite Karthik in 'Ponnumani' went on to star in a number of hit films in South Indian cinema opposite big stars including Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Kamal Haasan, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Vijayakanth, Vishnuvardhan and others.
Soundarya and her brother Amarnath passed away in an aircrash near Bengaluru on April 17th 2004 when she was on her way to campaign for her party the BJP during the elections.
