Sai Dharam Tej is currently being treated at a private hospital in Hyderabad. His health is improving after he underwent surgery on the collar bone. Meanwhile, news reports are emerging that the actor was overspeeding, which is what caused the road accident. Electronic media reports say that the Mega hero possesses a license to drive only light motor vehicles.

As per Times Of India, the police have stated that they are looking into whether the 'Solo Brathuke So Better' actor is permitted to drive a motorcycle with gears on public roads in terms of possessing a license. Tej's family has sought some time to submit the documents.

The 'Repulic' actor is said to have driven the bike at an average speed of around 75 kmph near the accident spot.

On the work front, Tej awaits the release of 'Republic' on October 1. Directed by Deva Katta, it has Aishwarya Rajesh as the heroine. It has to be seen whether the 'Prati Roju Pandage' actor will be available to promote the film, given that he will be recuperating ahead of the film's release.
