Sai Dhanshika made a strong debut opposite Jayam Ravi in 'Peraanmai' directed by S.P. Jananathan and featured in powerful roles in 'Aravaan' directed by Vasantha Balan and Bala's 'Paradesi'. It was however Pa. Ranjith's 'Kabali' that brought her back into reckoning after playing the tomboyish daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth.

Sai Dhanshika is now very choosy in selecting scripts and is currently focussing more on women-centric roles. She is trained in martial arts and has posted a video of her pyrotechnics that's gone viral. She has captioned it "I’m a woman and I know how far I’ve come. Everything I’ve gotten through. All the time I’ve pushed on even when I felt I cud’nt.. all the mornings I got out of the bed no matter how hard it gets..... "

Sai Dhanshika will soon be seen in Samuthirakani's 'Kitna', 'Yogitha', 'Vaalujada' and 'Iruttu'.
