Nivin Pauly's Award winning movie '1983', the sports drama which closely follows Sachin Tendulkar's career, has now eventually brought the cricketing legend and the actor closer. Sachin Tendulkar, who was in Kerala for a promotional event recently, expressed his wish to watch 1983 along with the actor.

Sachin who had all praise for Nivin Pauly's support for Kerala Blasters' Football team, said that he will be watching the movie in Malayalam itself, "provided there are English subtitles and the actor (Nivin)" sitting next to him.

Nivin Pauly, who was overwhelmed with Sachin's words, said that the 1983 team had always wanted Sachin to watch the movie. During the release time of 1983, the actor had tried approaching Sachin several times but didn't succeed.

After Nivin got associated with the football team Kerala Blasters' owned by Sachin, he told the Cricketing legend about the movie. Apparently, when Nivin Pauly offered him the DVD of 1983, Sachin asked if there were subtitles back then too!.
