Internationally acclaimed cricketers Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft are frequenting the news for all the wrong reasons surrounding the ball tampering scandal. The incident has been receiving a lot of flak from both fans of the game as well as eminent personalities in the field.
The latest to let out his opinion is none other than Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin took to his social page to state that the game must always be played at its purest form. He also stated that since it’s a gentleman’s game, more than winning the way one wins it is much important.
“Cricket has been known as a gentleman's game. It's a game that I believe should be played in the purest form. Whatever has happened is unfortunate but the right decision has been taken to uphold the integrity of the game. Winning is important but the way you win is more important,” he said.
