Cricketing legend and ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar stopped his car to request a Kerala woman riding the pillion of a bike to put on a helmet for her safety.
Sachin, who owns the Kerala Blasters team in the upcoming ISL Football tournament which commences in Cochin in Kerala on 17th November, was in Trivandrum yesterday to supervise the preparations of his team. He made a courtesy call on Kerala chief-minister Pinarayi Vijayan and later left for Mumbai.
En route to Trivandrum Airport, a fan spotted Sachin in his car and stopped his bike beside Sachin’s car. After wishing him, Sachin asked the person to move ahead as he had to talk to the person who was riding on a bike on the road a few feet behind his car. The biker moved ahead and then came the bike on which a couple was riding.
Sachin spoke to the couple and told the woman sitting on a pillion that though she was not riding the bike, it would add to her safety if she too wore a helmet. The woman, who was pleasantly surprised at Sachin talking to her advising her to put on a helmet, nodded her head in agreement and in excitement. Video of Sachin talking to the woman has gone viral on social networking sites!
