Saakini Daakini' is going to hit the screens on September 16. A song titled 'Saakini Daakini Theme' from the crime comedy caper was released today.

Written by Rakendu Mouli and rendered by the Ramya Kirtana-Mikey McCleary duo, its music is by the latter. Set in the backdrop of a police academy where Shalini (Nivetha Thomas) and Daamini (Regina Cassandra) are undergoing training, the song has got comical streaks. It is about the small fights that take place between the female protagonists. In other words, the theme song captures the irreverent and slightly oddball characterizations of the two characters, one of whom is a compulsive foodie and the other one is a neatness freak.

The film's teaser was released recently. Produced by Suresh Productions, Guru Films, and Kross Pictures Film, the Sudheer Varma directorial is one of the most-awaited female-centric movies ever. Mikey McCleary and Richard Prasad have taken care of music and cinematography, respectively. With Akshay Poolla writing dialogues and adapted screenplay, the thriller has editing by Viplav Nyshadam. Art Direction is by Gandhi Nadikudikar.
